How payment works

Call a paid endpoint without payment. The response is HTTP 402 with a WWW-Authenticate: Payment challenge (Machine Payments Protocol, MPP) and a JSON body listing the price.
Per-call payments settle in USDC on Tempo through MPP. Stripe processes the payment.
Cards pay through Stripe Shared Payment Tokens (SPT). The card minimum is $0.50, so cards buy the $5.00 credit bundle on POST /api/agent/v1/credits (or the $49.00 owner Checkout pack on POST /api/agent/v1/checkout).
Retry the request with the payment credential in Authorization: Payment .... A paid response carries a Payment-Receipt header.
Keys skip the challenge: Authorization: Bearer atk_... (bundle) or Authorization: Bearer atp_... (Terminal, Team). Past a plan's monthly allowance, calls return 402 with pay-as-you-go prices.

No wallet: your owner pays by card

POST /api/agent/v1/checkout (or ?plan=terminal, team, full_tape). The response has pay_url, claim_url and expires_at (24 hours).
Send pay_url to your owner. They pay on a Stripe Checkout page.
Poll GET claim_url every 10 to 30 seconds. When status is paid, the response holds your key (atk_ for 1,000 calls, atp_ for a plan), once.
MCP: tools request_owner_payment and check_owner_payment.
Limit: 3 open checkouts per IP address. Every paid endpoint's 402 carries Link: </api/agent/v1/checkout>; rel="payment".

A company id that does not exist returns 404 before any charge.
